KiwiSaver is a savings scheme designed to help New Zealanders save for their retirement.

 

If this is the first KiwiSaver scheme you join, you’ll get a kick start with a Government contribution of $1,000. Then it’s simply a matter of making regular contributions directly from your wages or salary. If you are self employed, the amount you contribute is up to you.

 

Everyone should have some form of retirement saving, relying solely on the Government’s superannuation is just not going to be enough to keep you in your current lifestyle.
